   Great Lakes Prospector is a full service prospecting supply company owned by Ogea Enterprises LLC, and managed by a Wisconsin prospector.  

     As a resident of Wisconsin, I understand the unique challenges prospectors face while searching for flour gold in the glacial till of the Midwest.  For the most part, Midwest prospectors are not recovering nuggets, they are recovering gold that is 20 mesh or less.  This means we cannot afford to use equipment that recovers “most” of the fine gold, we need equipment that recovers as much of the fine and flour gold as possible.  I am always searching for products to offer that will help increase the recovery rate for the prospectors while searching close to home.  At the same time, it is important that their equipment serve them well while vacationing in the more well known gold producing areas.  Rest assured that we will continue to search for products to help you have a successful prospecting adventure, whether it be close to home or across the Great Divide.  If you have found, or invented, a piece of equipment that you believe will help your fellow prospectors, send me an e-mail and we will see what we can do.
